THE ASSOCIATION FOR FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS OF INDIANA
The Association for Financial Professionals of Indiana (AFP-IN) is a not-for-profit association dedicated to advancing the treasury profession. AFP-IN is a regional affiliate of the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), a national association with similar aims and objectives. Our membership consists of both treasury practitioners and service providers, representing a broad cross-section of corporate, government, not-for-profit and service enterprises. Our members represent diverse industries: manufacturing, service, retail, public utilities, insurance, not-for-profit, real estate, financial services, wholesale distribution, government and higher education. Through its presence in Indianapolis, AFP-IN seeks to provide members with opportunities to remain current regarding treasury topics and issues, learn new skills, and network with other treasury and financial professionals.
NETWORKING THROUGH AFP-IN
One of the most beneficial aspect of membership in AFP-IN is the professional network of contacts developed. AFP-IN members represent diverse industries within Indiana; manufacturing, service, retail, public utilities, universities, insurance, real estate, financial services, academic, wholesale distribution, and government. Our members embrace a wealth of information and experience and are always willing to exchange ideas, concerns and solutions to treasury management problems. It matters not if you are a novice in the field of treasury management or an established veteran, the sharing of ideas with fellow professionals can improve performance in your current position and help you expand within the treasury profession.
MONTHLY LUNCHEONS
During the months of October through May, AFP-IN holds a monthly luncheon meeting on the third Tuesday of each month at the Columbia Club in downtown Indianapolis. Each meeting begins at 12:30 p.m. and usually concludes by 1:30 p.m. The format of the meeting consists of a buffet lunch and dessert, followed by a guest speaker and question and answer session. These meetings provide a forum to discuss issues related to treasury and cash management, as well as an excellent opportunity for members to network with peer professionals. In addition, AFP-IN monthly luncheon meetings are approved for CTP credits by the AFP. Learn more about this month's luncheon or view the luncheon archive.
THE CIRCLE CITY TREASURY MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE
Each September, members of AFP-IN organize, sponsor and present the two and one half-day conference. The conference is intended to be inexpensive, centrally located and provide a broad range of topics and speakers to suit the needs of all of our members and guests. Some of the areas addressed at the annual conference include the year’s economic outlook, cash management systems, federal reserve issues, cash forecasting techniques and interest rate management. Revenue generated by the conference is used to fund our treasury management scholarship fund. The Circle City Treasury Management Conference is Association for Financials approved and participants can earn CTP and CPE credits. Browse the conference archive.
